Create Compelling, Shareable Content Without Much Writing

By August 6, 2020No Comments3 min read

If you don’t consider yourself a writer, blogging might seem overwhelming.

Many business owners don’t actually like writing blogs. So, you’re not alone.

Not having a blog on your site can make your traffic suffer, though.

There’s good news, though! There are many ways to still create shareable content regularly without writing much at all.

Crowdsource

Guest blogging is a great way to generate content and to get in front of a new audience. Other content creators need help growing their audiences, too. Many of them would love to take you up on the opportunity to appear as a guest on your blog. Everyone wins!

Are you not thrilled by the idea of guest blogging? What about an interview or a cross-blog discussion? Just give a list of questions to your interviewee, and post their responses as a blog post. Interview formatted blogs are a great way to introduce your audience to someone they might enjoy knowing.

A cross-blog conversation takes a little more work but can be a fun way for your audience to get to know you a bit better. A cross-blog conversation is a discussion that takes place on two different blogs, with both you and your blogging partner writing opinions about a topic, as if you were having a conversation over coffee.

Audio and Video

Podcasting and video blogs (AKA vlogs) are more popular than ever and are great alternatives for those who don’t care for writing. With either type of content, all you need to do is share your thoughts. You could do an interview, but you don’t have to do that. Plus, you don’t need to have a professional studio either.

You can create podcasts and video blogs with your computer’s camera and your earbuds. Just start recording on your computer and share your thoughts. Don’t worry about trying to be perfect; your visitors will love the opportunity to see the real you–your human side!

Curate

Curation is another easy way of filling your blog posts. You probably already share a variety of content on your social media platforms. So why not share that content on your blog post, as well?

Share the article or meme or whatever it is, and add your thoughts on it. It’s a great way to get traffic to your site, as well as start a conversation with your readers.

Relying on organic traffic can be frustrating. Being able to add more content to your site and have people share it can be a much faster way of getting new traffic. But if you’re not comfortable writing, creating that new content can seem like an overwhelming task. Instead of giving up and letting your blog fade, explore these other ways to create content your readers will appreciate and share.
