This morning, one of the first things I read was “Margaret Thatcher, Britain’s ‘Iron Lady’ Prime Minister, Dead at 87.”
Y’all know I’m all about women empowerment and I love when women embrace their strengths and use them to make a difference!
Margaret Thatcher was classy, reinvigorating, controversial, dynamic, plain-spoken, a reference point for friends and enemies alike and became one of the world’s most influential and respected political leaders. She was a great role model for women!
I absolutely love this photo of her by Helmut Newton.
There are more than 8,000 recorded Margaret quotations. These are some of my favorite Margaret quotations:
“The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out if other people’s money.”
“If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman.”
“Where there is discord, may we bring harmony. Where there is error, may we bring truth. Where there is doubt, may we bring faith. And where there is despair, may we bring hope.”
“If you just set out to be liked, you would be prepared to compromise on anything at any time, and you would achieve nothing.”
“Any woman who understands the problems of running a home will be nearer to understanding the problems of running a country.”
“Power is like being a lady… if you have to tell people you are, you aren’t.”
